With the palette held to oatmeal, white and green, the room has to work through texture instead of colour. An arched linen headboard, a woven grass roman shade and a green-and-taupe ikat pillow do most of it.
Green velvet pillows add the only real saturation, and they sit against white bedding so the contrast stays clean.
A pale blue ceramic lamp on a white lacquer nightstand finishes the bedside. Guest rooms should feel restful on arrival and take nothing to maintain.
